Oxfam in Nepal wants to see resilient communities that have increased coping capacity to disasters and climate emergency through localized risk management and response. We are committed to saving the lives of poor and marginalized people during, before, and after the time of crisis.
The Climate Justice and Resilience Program aims at strengthening communities and institutions' capacity to cope with disasters, improve their livelihoods, and build resilience. The program contributes Sustainable Development Goal 1 – No Poverty, Goal 2 – Zero Hunger, Goal 5 – Gender Equality, Goal 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 10 – Reduced Inequality, Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, and Goal 13 – Climate Action.
The program is continuously supporting communities and municipalities for better preparedness and response on disasters. We integrate preparedness with livelihood improvement and income resilience.
The program supports those who are affected by the climate emergency and poor environmental and natural resource management.
