Oxfam’s vision is a Just and Sustainable World. Our mission in Nepal as a humanitarian and development organization is to strengthen civic space and peoples’ actions to end all forms of inequalities and social injustices, informed by a decolonial feminist lens rooted in the Global South.

We partner with feminist organizations, women’s rights organizations, and diverse civil society networks to promote and strengthen local leadership. Our primary focus is advancing the leadership and meaningful participation of women, youth, and marginalized or vulnerable communities.

Gender justice lies at the heart of sustainable poverty reduction as it addresses the systemic and structural roots of inequality. We aim to transform the deeply rooted patriarchal and colonial systems that drive inequality. This newsletter explores how our Gender Justice Programme drives systemic change through three core actions: shifting resources, redefining the value of labor, and sharing decision-making power.
