Dodhara Chandani Village, situated at the far western side of Nepal is Nepal’s last village. Located at banks of Mahakali river in Kanchanpur district, the village is extremely prone to floods. During October 2021, a massive flood swept away the village, displacing 41 families. This photo feature describes the extent of damage caused by the floods and role of Community Disaster Management Committee (CDMC) established by Oxfam’s Strengthening Community Preparedness, Rapid Response and Recovery in Asia(SCOPR3 )project, in responding to the crisis .
